Horseback Riding

June 2, 2006 Nicki called me from work and wanted to know if I would go horseback riding with her and the kids. So...we drove to Moravia and out of town a few miles to the
Moses Mountain Farm.

Connor was not going to get on the horse with any of us, but then 5 minutes after being put up with Nicki on the saddle, he calmed down and decided it was great fun.

Devon wasn't afraid of the horses. He wanted to ride by himself.

Megan got the most gentle and smallest horse, but he would get up and go when she wanted him to. By this time Connor was saying, "Yee Ha" whenever he and Nicki would trot or go faster on their horse. When we were riding thru the woods, the horses would rip branches off the trees and chew on the leaves, once in a while letting go a branch that would hit one of us as it snapped back!

Devon rode behind his grandma Kathy and the horse would swish his tail and hit poor Devon in the head and on his back. That was funny, but it was kind of scary for Dev when we went fast.

Here we are back at the farm. The boys were already asking if we could come back the next day to ride again! No one really wanted to dismount our horses. We had a great time riding.
