Hank and Ashley came to visit us April 14th-18th.
We had lots of fun and had some very interesting
experiences as you will see in this blog.

On Sat. we played games with Connor and Devon
before the boys and Nicki left for Vermont.

Ash and her yittle boys. She and Hank are having
a baby girl in Sept. and we are all very excited!

Hank, Ash and Marc went wave running
on Sat. to see the family homes on the lake.

After a family dinner for Hank and Ash they
opened some wedding presents.

Dave had reserves on Sat. and came home for
dinner. He only had to drive to Syracuse because
he changed units. No more 5 hour drives once
a month to NYCity. YES!

Monday we awoke to a winter wonderland.
18 inches of snow that hung heavy on everything.

This is our driveway out! Not today! Marc had
to put the snowblower back on the tractor for one
last trip up and down the road. WE HOPE!

In the morning Ash sewed this bunny basket for
Hank to match hers, minus it's green pom nose.
She just couldn't wait till this summer, Amy! Sorry!

Let's go snowmobiling.

Hank is ready for his first ride.

It was slushy, heavy and very wet. Some trails
had trees so heavy with snow that we had to turn
around and go back a different way, twice.

Snow in April. How crazy!!! But what fun!

Hank attacking Ash. Watch out for the head butt
Hank!! She definately has the advantage!

Dave was nice enough to drive up the nearest
road to bring us the chainsaw. Marc and
Ash got one ski caught on a huge root while crossing
a stream and without cutting it, we couldn't get
the sled out.

The guys tried to pull the sled out of the water,
but it took Ash to drive it out while they pulled.
Thank goodness for cell phones and that Dave
was home! He was a big help!

By the time we got back to the lake it was sleeting.
Here we are on the hill overlooking the lake.
There's no place like home! There's no place like home!

We had a great time with the kids, even though
we were in the middle of a NorEaster and without
electric power for over 30 hours Mon. and Tues. The
generator and wood burning stove kept us in hot
water, lights and toasty warm. This is a weekend Hank
won't soon forget, I'm sure!!! He was a good sport
and lots of fun. We love you Hank!
