Have you ever walked outside on a cold,
snowy night and felt like you were in a
winter wonderland with the moon so bright
and glistening on the snow that you could
see perfectly without a flashlight? That's
what it was like here at the lake Friday
night, January 9th, 2009, as we went out
to play. Dave & Kristine had
just arrived back in NY from Utah with a
desire to take a snowmobile ride,
something Kristine had never done before.
My brother Joe, also, arrived from PA in
time for dinner and brought his snowmobile
to go riding with us on Saturday. But...since
the kids wanted to ride, Marc and Joe took
them out for a couple of hours.
Upon their return, Dave, Kristine and I
went sledding. We had perfect conditions:
an icy road with new snow on top!
We flew down the road, but it was really
great to be able to see where our sleds were
taking us and even more fun! Over Christmas
vacation with all the kids here we had a blast
sledding, but it was pitch dark and none of us
could see where the heck we were going and
it was quite scary.
Here they are on Friday...
Kristine and Dave ready to go!

Marc all geared up on Sat.
to go snowmobiling. It
was 11 degrees out but we
didn't feel the cold at all.

We started out at our house and rode
out to meet Carl and Brad Baumann
who joined us to head up to Skaneateles.
We met my brother Bob on his sled and
rode up north for a round trip of 97 miles.
What a treat it was to go snowmobiling
with 2 of my brothers! If we have to have
snow, we might as well find a way to enjoy
it!
