The other day as I was cleaning up some wood and bark from the splitting area near the house something spit water into my left eye. I couldn't figure out what had happened until I saw this huge salamander and figured it must have been him! I washed my eye out with water and eye drops and then dave and I found him on the computer. Thank goodness he is just a yellow spotted salamander and my eye was perfectly ok, but it sure scared me! I put him on this log so you could see how big he is!!! About 10 inches long. I showed the boys then let him go where I found him. He is good because he eats lots and lots of bugs. Never saw one this big before, though!!!
