Here is Parker helping her Grandma Kathy make a cake so we could teach Ashley how to use all those new tools in her cake decorating kit. Parker sure enjoyed the batter.

One project we wanted to finish, also, was to clean out the front flower beds, buy and plant some new flowering bushes, trim back the rose bushes, plant a few pansies until she could get some summer plants in and mulch. After doing it all and spreading 3-4 cubic yards of cedar mulch we were pleased with the results and very tired!
Now for the front grass to grow! I wish we had taken a pic before we started planting. It doesn't look like much yet, but once the azaleas, the fragrant olive tree and two other flowering bushes we bought, the magnolia tree, the roses, the grasses that get purple flowers shooting up and little flowering plants all bloom, it will be beautiful!
