Exciting sailboat rides. Saturday a week ago Cami went sailing with her dad strapping into a trapeeze harness before they went out. The wind was up and Cami had fun pushing herself off the edge of the boat connected to the trapeeze wire to lean out over the water as the wind lifted the pontoon off the water. Until one time they got a big blow and she lost her footing, sliding down the boat to hit the mast with her leg and the boat went over. Well.......we knew this new boat was going to be more fun and also more of a challenge!
After trying to right the boat for 15 minutes in the cold water, I got a call, "Mom, we tipped over and need help". Ash, Nicki, Devon and Connor jumped into wet suits and jackets, we jumped into the ski boat and headed north. When almost to the scene of the tip over, we saw the sail upright ahead of us. They had figured out how to right the boat without help! Which was good news for when Marc and I go sailing without anyone else around. Anyway.....Devon got on the sailboat to sail home with Marc and Cami and we took off for home. Cami ended up with a huge bruise on the back of her leg to show off in Hawaii the next week. Ouch!!!

Ash is full rescue gear!

Nicki and Connor staying warm on the way home.

Marc, Cami and Devon all aboard.

Pulling the spinniker in preparing to bring the crew and boat into shore!

Despite the tip over, they had a fun time sailing. Kept warm in the wet suits and the sunshine. Just another adventure in the life of the Clays.
